Easy Buttermilk Substitute In Five Minutes!

 
This recipe for a Buttermilk Substitute is the best one I've found.
I used it with success and even found that the milk curdled like regular buttermilk - just make sure to wait and give the vinegar time to do it's thing and you'll have a great ingredient.

The Best Buttermilk Substitute

Ingredients:

  • Milk (just under one cup)

  • 1 Tablespoon white vinegar or lemon juice

Preparation:

1. Place a Tablespoon of white vinegar or lemon juice in a liquid measuring cup.

2. Add enough milk to bring the liquid up to the one-cup line.

3. Let stand for five minutes. Then, use as much as your recipe calls for.
